The Magic Mirror

Every morning, the queen stood before the mirror and asked, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?”

And every morning, the mirror answered, “You, my Queen, are the fairest of them all.”

The queen was always pleased.

But as the years passed, little Snow White grew into a beautiful young princess. More importantly, she grew up to be gentle, cheerful, and kind.

Then one morning, the queen asked her usual question. This time, the mirror gave a different answer: “Snow White is the fairest of them all.”

The queen was furious.
