Into the Forest

The queen became so jealous that she ordered a huntsman to take Snow White deep into the forest and leave her there.

The huntsman obeyed and led Snow White far from the castle. But when he saw how frightened she was, he couldn't bring himself to hurt her.

“Run, Snow White,” he said. “Run far away, and don't return to the castle.”

Snow White thanked him and hurried into the forest. She ran between enormous trees and over twisting roots.

As evening approached, she became tired and frightened. Then, through the trees, she noticed something.
