A Winter Wish

Once upon a time, in the middle of winter, a queen sat beside a window sewing.

Outside, soft white snowflakes floated through the air.

As the queen looked at the snow, she wished for a child with skin as fair as snow, lips as red as a rose, and hair as dark as the night.

Before long, her wish came true. She had a beautiful baby girl, whom she named Snow White.

But sadly, when Snow White was still very young, her mother died.

Years later, the king married again. The new queen was beautiful, but she was also proud and jealous. More than anything, she wanted to be the most beautiful person in the kingdom.

And she owned a very unusual mirror. A magic mirror.
