Three Neighbors

In a tall old oak tree at the edge of the forest lived an owl, a mouse, and a fox.

The owl lived in the highest branches and could see for miles in every direction.

The mouse lived in a cozy hole among the roots, and could squeeze through the tiniest of gaps.

The fox lived in the hollow trunk, and was faster than anyone in the forest.

Each one believed their own gift was the best. They rarely worked together, and mostly kept to themselves.
