Life by the Cinders

Once upon a time, a kind girl lived with her stepmother and two stepsisters.

Her father had died, and her stepmother made her cook, clean, and scrub from morning until night.

At the end of each long day, she would sit by the fireplace to keep warm, resting among the ash and cinders. That is how she came to be called Cinderella.

Despite everything, Cinderella stayed gentle and kind, and always found small reasons to smile.
