Two Legs, No Voice

In a swirl of bubbles and light, Ariel's tail became two legs.

She wobbled onto the sand, unsteady on her new feet, unable to speak a single word.

It was there that the young sailor — who was, in fact, a prince — found her. He didn't recognize her as the girl who had saved his life. But something about her kindness and curiosity drew him in.
