Time for a Smackerel

Pooh landed with a soft bump and brushed off the mud.

He did not get honey from the hive that day. His nose felt a tiny bit stingy, and his arms felt very stiff from holding the balloon string.

But Christopher Robin walked him home, and they had a smackerel of honey from the cupboard instead.

Pooh licked the last drop from his paw and smiled. "Now I know how the bees make it," he said, "and this tastes just right."
