Spring on the River
When spring finally arrived, the duckling — now fully grown — found himself drawn to a wide, sparkling river.
There, gliding gracefully across the water, he saw the most beautiful birds he had ever laid eyes on: tall, white, and elegant, with long graceful necks.
"I know I don't belong among such beautiful creatures," he thought sadly, "but perhaps they won't mind if I only watch."
