A Strange Little Egg

On a sunny farm by a quiet river, a mother duck sat patiently on her nest of eggs, waiting for them to hatch.

One by one, fluffy yellow ducklings cracked their way into the world, peeping happily. But one egg was larger than the rest, and took just a little longer.

When it finally cracked open, out came a duckling unlike any of his brothers and sisters — bigger, gray, and a little awkward looking.
