Slow and Steady

While the hare slept soundly, the tortoise kept walking — one slow, steady step after another.

She did not stop to rest, and she did not look back to see how far behind she might be. She simply kept going, step by careful step, all the way past the sleeping hare.

The watching animals began to whisper excitedly to one another.
