A Daisy for Phebe

In the kitchen worked Phebe, a girl who helped cook and clean.

Some people forgot to be polite to her.

Rose picked a daisy in the garden and gave it to Phebe.

"Thank you for the soup," Rose said.

Phebe's face lit up. "That is kind of you," she said.
