The Rainbow

The flowers lifted their heads. The grass turned bright green again. The rabbit splashed happily in a growing puddle.

When the sun came out, something wonderful happened.

A rainbow stretched across the whole valley — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

"Look!" cried the sunflower. "You helped make a rainbow!"

Puffy smiled until his edges shimmered.

"I thought keeping all my rain would make me happy," he said. "But sharing it made the meadow happy — and me too!"
