A Hungry Home

Once upon a time, at the edge of a great forest, there lived a poor woodcutter with his two children, Hansel and Gretel.

A hard winter had come, and there was barely enough bread to fill even one small bowl.

"What will we do?" the woodcutter sighed one night, believing the children asleep. "We can hardly feed ourselves, let alone the little ones."

Hansel and Gretel lay quietly in the dark, listening, and holding each other's hands a little tighter.
