The Moral
This story teaches us something about feelings.
When we cannot get something we want, we may feel sad or cross. The fox said the grapes were sour so he would not feel bad. But the grapes were still sweet and purple on the vine.
It is okay to feel disappointed. It is kinder to be honest with yourself: "I wanted those grapes, and that was hard."
And sometimes, with time or help, we may reach what we hope for after all.
