Something Stripy on a Leaf

One warm afternoon, Bella stopped at a big green leaf on a milkweed plant.

On the leaf was a small, stripy caterpillar. It was munching very slowly, but with great seriousness.

"Hello, little one," said Bella. "You are eating as if you have a very important job."

The caterpillar did not answer. It just kept munching. Bella watched for a long time, then hopped on, smiling.
