Her Father's Gift
Suddenly, the Sea King rose from the waves. He had searched every corner of the ocean for his daughter.
He saw the fear in her eyes, and the love in the prince's — and understood.
With a wave of his trident, gentle light swept over Ariel. Her voice returned, carried back to her on the evening breeze.
“You have shown more courage than any mermaid before you,” he said softly. “You may belong to both worlds now — the sea, and the shore.”
